Having perfect A4 portrait brochures printed out is just half the battle won when it comes to building up brand awareness. You also need to make sure you’re distributing them all in the right way and in the right places so as to maximise your chances of success.
One ploy that many companies use is to hire a someone to stand on the street and hand them out to passersby, which is certainly very effective and you can ensure that countless people see them if you disperse them in this way.
However, you should also make sure that you distribute them in places where your target market is likely to be found. This will help you save time and money, since you can just put 100 leaflets or brochures or so in a library, for example, and just wait for people to pick them up – so you don’t have to hire someone to deliver them for hours at a time.
A recent survey carried out by the Center for Marketing Technology at Bentley University in the US found that printed visitor information for guests at hotels, for example, is still considered to be incredibly valuable. Hotels still have brochure displays and often see people using them so if you have guides, maps or printed brochures it would certainly be wise to consider hotels as one place for distribution.
“I had an expectation that in 2016 there would be some sort of skepticism about the value of print materials,” director of the marketing centre Professor Ian Cross was quoted by Skift as saying. “But as we dug into the research, it was clear that the people charged with actually helping guests find paper to be much more user friendly than digital.”
